Taiwan donates to Belize’s flood repair efforts

By BBN Staff: On December 2, 2020, Ambassador of Taiwan to Belize, Remus Li-Kuo Chen presented a grant in the sum of US$100,000 to assist Belize in the repair of flood damage caused by the passage of Hurricanes Eta and Iota.

The donation was received by Christopher Coye, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, and Investment.

Ambassador Chen said that his government was pleased to be in a position to assist its long-standing and highly valued friend, Belize, in a time of need and conveyed continued support for the development of Belize.

Coye thanked the Ambassador for the generous and timely donation and gave assurances that the funds would be put to good use in the emergency repair of infrastructure impacted by the floods.
