Firefighters engage in Emergency Medical Responder training

By BBN Staff: This week, Firefighters from San Ignacio, Santa Elena, and Benque Viejo were engaged in an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training.

The EMR training was held at the Santa Elena Primary School.

Firefighters received training in airway, traumatic injuries and burns, head injuries, open chest wound, and patient assessment among others.

The group of trainers are from Virginia, USA, and are also members of a group called ‘Belize Heroes’ that donated 2 ambulances a few months ago.
