By BBN Staff: The Belize district had the majority of the last batch of confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).
The MOHW’s December 5 data showed that, of a total 218 cases, 73 of them were from the Belize district. The Toledo was next in line with 45 of the total new cases.
The breakdown for the other districts were as follows: Cayo-28, Corozal-22, Orange Walk-18, and Stann Creek-17. Notably, the Ministry captured data for San Pedro separately from the Belize district, which showed that the island had 15 confirmed cases.
The coutnrywide total for confirmed COVID-19 cases currently stands at 7,601. The MOHW is expected to produce an updated report later today.
