Three more die from COVID-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: The latest update on the COVID-19 situation, prepared by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW), says that three more Belizeans have died from the virus.

The latest deaths put the national total at 176 and moves the country’s fatality rate to 2.21.

The MOHW also reported that there were 184 newly-confirmed cases from a sample batch of 857. Of those new cases, 80 of them were females and 104 of them were males.

The Ministry is investigating another 620 suspected cases.

There are 31 people hospitalized due to COVID-19 and five in intensive care. There were also 94 newly-reported recoveries.
