By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize informed that in a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, it established a subcommittee to review Government’s options in connection with employment contracts of the past administration’s political appointees.
When he was sworn in on November 12, 2020, Prime Minister John Briceno advised political appointees that per protocol, they are to vacate their posts.
However, after further investigation, information suggests that several political appointees signed contracts just prior to the general elections.
The committee will review the options of those contracts.
