Belize Electricity Limited announces planned power outage for Sunday

By BBN Staff: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has announced that there will be a planned power outage for Sunday, December 13, that will affect residents along the Philip Goldson Highway.

The power outage, which is scheduled to last from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. will affect residents on the highway including the Mile 3-4.5 portion of Belama Phase 2, including Will & Sharper Street, Lantana Street, Jesus Ken Street, Alejo Beni Street, Bradley’s Crescent, Gwen Lizarraga Street, Mateo Ayuso Street, Wilfred Peters Street, Clifton Betson Street and entire Phases 3 & 4, Bella Vista and North End Estate.

BEL said that the outage was necessary to, “install new power lines along the Philip Goldson Highway as part of BEL’s ongoing system upgrades in the area.”
