By BBN Staff: Belize Telemedia Ltd., which is currently under the management of a new board, has agreed to an expansion of an existing infrastructure management contract with FNT Software, an American-based firm that provides software solutions for integrated management of IT, data center, and telecommunication networks.

Under the terms of the deal, FNT will handle the network resource and inventory management of BTL’s outside plant infrastructure, inside plant infrastructure, logical network and active transport network to support the company’s digital transformation and ensure that high-quality services are consistently delivered without interruption.

FNT’s unified resource management system is based on a central data repository that provides a complete inventory of all network resource data of the passive infrastructure and all physical end-to-end connections. The repository also assigns services to signal routes and provides accurate as-is documentation to make cable infrastructure rollouts, extensions and changes easier to plan and more efficient to execute, said FNT.

With the ability to automate and streamline business processes, Belize Telemedia Limited now manages a total of 127 cell sites throughout the country.
