Cop accuses fellow cop in a high-profile murder trial; Commissioner refuses to comment on it

Posted: Friday, December 11, 2020. 10:13 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: Constable Michelle Brown, accused of the murder of barber Fareed Ahmad three years ago this month, this week got to tell her side of the story.

Under oath, Brown told the court that another police officer – a corporal – stepped into Ahmad’s vehicle and shot him in the head.

That corporal made a surprise appearance in court where he flatly denied her claims and said he had a credible alibi witness, his uncle, a very senior cop, who can attest that he was at home at the time.

Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, refused to intervene when questioned on Thursday.

“I can’t comment on it, the matter is still before the court. The court will be the one to determine if in fact, Ms. Brown is the one who pulled the trigger, so I’m not going to comment on that.”

Attorneys for both sides will address the judge today before he makes a ruling.
