David ‘Dido’ Vega loses battle with COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Orange Walk East Area Representative, Kevin Bernard, has extended sympathies to the family and friends of Corozal Bay Area Representative, David ‘Dido’ Vega.

Vega lost his battle with COVID-19 this morning. He is the first Area Representative in Belize to lose his life to the virus.

On December 5, 2020, Vega was taken for urgent medical care to Belize City. He informed that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Vega had been intubated at a private facility in Belize City.

He had won the November 11th General elections beating UDP’s Pablo Marin.

“I offer my deepest condolences to the Family and friends of Hon. David Dido Vega.  To all his supporters, community members, I ask for prayers for his wife and kids,” Bernard said.

BBN joins in extending sympathies to his family and friends.
