By Aaron Humes: Prime Minister John Briceno claimed “a strong, unquestioned mandate” from the electorate delivered on November 11 after 12 years of UDP Government, and promised not to let the country down.

The “living hell” that is 2020 has brought unprecedented strain to the economy and people, and Briceno acknowledged that even a national lockdown has not been enough to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Prime Minister encouraged businesses to adopt frontline workers rather than hold potential “superspreader” Christmas parties.

He reiterated the efforts at testing, and support for isolated persons and their families with 14 days worth of groceries and a stipend.
