By BBN Staff: The Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Authority (KHMHA) and the Belize Blood Bank issued a statement today requesting donation of blood from patients who have recovered from COVID-19.
This ‘convalescent plasma’ is needed to assist those battling COVID-19 in the hospitals.
The Blood bank is accepting collection of blood from anyone who has at least 6 weeks of recovery from COVID-19.
They are especially seeking persons with A and O positive blood.
“Let our humanity be the catalyst that defeats this virus. Thank you,” the KHMHA said.
