Coronavirus just killed a giant

By Dr. Paul Whisnant: Families throughout rural Mayan villages in southern Belize are in shock at the unexpected passing of one of their greatest Pastors.

Pastor Crisanto Tush is beloved by thousands and has humbly served the people of Stann Creek and Toledo for decades.

In 2017, Pastor Crisanto was awarded the Distinguished Pastors Award by Dr. Paul Whisnant for 27 years of serving as a Pastor.

Dr. Paul Whisnant is the Belizean-American who founded International Servants, a nonprofit which has been building Churches, homes, and Schools throughout Belize since 1990, and also brings hundreds of Medical Mission Trip volunteers to serve in rural Belize.

Southern Regional has just confirmed that Pastor Crisanto Tush’ cause of death was indeed the coronavirus.

His family has been tested and is now in a 14-day preventative quarantine. Because of the coronavirus, they weren’t able to have a proper funeral but look forward to having a service once this covid pandemic is past.

We urge everyone to pray for his wife and family and to continue practicing proper health practices as instructed by the Ministry of Health.
