By BBN Staff: Fourteen new virus-related deaths and 134 new coronavirus cases were reported in Belize today, according to daily numbers released by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
The Ministry explained that not all of the 14 deaths were in the past 24 hours, but that there were 3 deaths within the past 24 hours and the remaining 11 occurred over the past 15 days, with the COVID-19 tests being concluded postmortem.
“Still, with this record number of reported deaths, The Ministry of Health and Wellness urges the public to please follow our guidelines: please wear a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often, ” The Ministry said.
So far, Belize has recorded 211 virus-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
