By BBN Staff: Today, the General Registry issued a notice regarding the early closure of businesses for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and noted some important changes as a result of these closures that those accessing services need to be aware of.
The Registry explained that it will be closed as of 12:00 noon on December 24 as well as on December 31.
Due to the early closures, the cashiers will be closing an hour early (11:00 a.m.) on those days given that Christmas Day lands on a Friday, which is the day set for bail hearings, those hearings will be moved to Wednesday, December 23.
“(Bail)Petitions are to be filed by 12:00 noon on December 22, 2020,” the Registry said.
There will also be a Bail Hearing on Wednesday, December 30, in lieu of Friday, January 1. Petitions for that hearing need to be filed by 12:00 noon on December 29.
The Registry also noted that documents to be filed can be sent to the Deputy Registrar Patricia Arana at the email address [email protected].
