Over 50 people charged for violating quarantine regulations

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department informed that 52 people were arrested and charged for violating the quarantine regulations.

Thirty-four were charged for failing to wear a face mask or other face (mouth) covering while in public.

Nine people were charged for failing to practice social distancing.

Two persons were charged for hosting a restricted social event.

Six people were charged for engaging in a contact sport when restricted to do so.

One person was charged for breach of curfew.
