Weather: Rain returns entering weekend

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says a relatively moist northeasterly airflow has developed over the area.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies at times with a few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms mainly over southern and coastal areas this morning, spreading inland this afternoon and then affecting mainly the coast and south again tonight. 

Winds are from the northeast at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is slight. 

Temperatures reach 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 86 degrees inland and 75 in the hills. Tonight, temperatures will reach 75 degrees along the coast, 70 inland and 65 in the hills. 

Tides were low at 6:28 this morning and will be at 5:33 this evening and high at 12:35 this afternoon and 11:45 tonight. 

The Sun rose at 6:16 this morning and will set at 5:21 this evening. 

The extended outlook calls for a few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms will continue to affect the country on Friday, increasing even more on Friday night.
