Director of Health Services to be released from hospital

By BBN Staff: Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat informed today during a press conference that Director of Health Services (DHS), Marvin Manzanero is expected to be released from the hospital today or tomorrow.

Manzanero informed on December 8, 2020, that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Manzanero had been at the helm leading the fight of the COVID-19 pandemic along with health professionals since the beginning of the pandemic in Belize.

Then, on December 13, Manzanero was hospitalized in a stable condition at the Belize Healthcare Partners Limited (BHPL) for conditions relating to COVID-19.

Since then, Belizeans have been lifting prayers for the DHS and sending get well wishes. With Manzanero at the helm of the crisis, many Belizeans have expressed their love and appreciation for him and other frontline workers.
