By BBN Staff: Belize recorded another 30 people recovering from COVID-19 today, however, more than 30 remain hospitalized, according to the latest data released from the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).

Of the new recoveries, 11 are males and 19 are females, with the new national total for recoveries going up to 8,296.

There are 33 people still hospitalized due to COVID-19 and four people in intensive care units due to increasing complications related to the virus.

To contain the spread of the virus, the MOHW recently announced more stringent measures being rolled out, including an 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew and restricted movement for the Orange Walk and Corozal districts among others.

The Ministry urges all Belizeans to adhere to the established protocols such as frequent handwashing and the proper wearing of masks as a part of the national fight against COVID-19.
