By BBN Staff: Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero has expressed gratitude and appreciation for everyone for their prayers and well wishes as he recovered from COVID-19.
Manzanero also expressed gratitude to all frontline workers for their arduous job,
“ It has been and remains a long difficult journey and spending 6 nights in a COVID-19 isolation unit also takes a toll- so thanks to all the nurses, doctors and other health staff that took care of me,” Manzanero said.
Manzanero said that he thought he was going to die.
He said that his Christmas wish for Belizeans is that everyone remains safe and minimize any potential exposure.
“ In a week, I lost 9 pounds so at times it feels like I am learning how to walk again; it has certainly drained me physically, mentally, and emotionally…. As we go into a New Year, my wish is that no one has to experience COVID-19 the way I did,” Manzanero expressed.
