By BBN Staff: Belizean athletes representing the country at the Central American Championships in Athletics (CADICA) held in San Jose Costa Rica from December 28-29 have managed to secure five medals (two of them gold).
The results are as follows: Samantha Dirks won Gold in 200m; Brandon Jones won Gold in the Triple jump; Ashontie Carr won silver in 400m hurdles, another Silver in 100m hurdles, and ran 4th in the 800m; Ashantie Carr took bronze in the triple jump; Hilary Gladden won Bronze in 100m in 12.61 and had the third-best completion time.
Several other Belizean athletes put on notable performances, including Faith Morris 5th in 100m; Shaun Gill 5th in Mens 100m; Brandon Adolphus 5th in 5Km; and Hilary Gladden ran 5th in 200m.
