Five more COVID-19 deaths, national total now over 240

By BBN Staff: Five more Belizeans have died from complications related to COVID-19 according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).

The Ministry’s latest COVID-19 update, says that the five new deaths have taken the national total up to 241. Of the total number of deaths, 74 were female and 167 were male.

The latest deaths have raised the country’s fatality rate to 2.26. and also represent a total of 93 COVID-19-related deaths in the month of December to date.

Almost 50 of the deaths for this month occurred before December 15.
