Murder in Dangriga over Christmas weekend

By Aaron Humes: Errol Gomez,29, is the latest victim of murder – on Christmas morning, no less.

Police visited his home in the Second New Site around 5:00 a.m. Friday to find him dead on the floor with gunshot injuries.

His common-law wife reported that she heard him walking around and then a series of loud bangs. She called Police, who removed the body to the Southern Regional Hospital and processed the scene.

Police are working to establish leads in this incident and are awaiting a post-mortem examination of Gomez.

Police are also working on an alleged suicide elsewhere in town that may have been conflated with this murder in initial reports.
