Ministry of Health and Wellness: More than 50 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed

By BBN Staff: The last COVID-19 update for the year 2020, shows that there have been more than 50 newly-confirmed cases in Belize.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW), published the data today, which showed that there were 52 new cases, with 23 of them being female and 29 of them being male.

The Mistry also has another 76 suspected cases under investigation.

The latest reported cases mean the country closes off the year with 10,776 confirmed infections, between mid-March, when the first cases were detected, and December 31.

Of the national total for confirmed cases, 5,056 were females and 5720 were males. The MOHW conducted a total of 59,340 tests this year.
