Posted: Thursday, December 31, 2020. 10:28 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Commissioner of Police Chester Williams is reminding Belizeans to remain vigilant with Covid-19 prevention protocols as they prepare to welcome the New Year.

Williams took to Facebook today stressing that surviving the pandemic should be the foremost thought in every Belizean’s mind.

“We must continue to abide by the Covid-19 protocols by properly wearing our face mask, practice social distancing, do not host or attend no social gatherings or parties and sanitize regularly,” Williams said. “Remember, that Covid-19 is also moving into the new year with us. Wishing all a happy and prosperous 2021 in advance.”

Belize currently has 10,724 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 242 deaths. The Ministry of Health and Wellness still has one pending update scheduled for later today.
