Minor charged for New Year’s Eve murder

By Aaron Humes: A 17-year old minor has been charged with the murder of Shane Flowers on New Year’s Eve.

Flowers, 25, was walking with a woman identified as Maneera Wilson on West Street, Belize City, when they were shot at.

Wilson was hit once and treated in hospital, but Flowers fled in the direction of Glynn Street as he was hit multiple times and died on the spot where he finally collapsed.

The minor was charged in the presence of his mother and remanded until he appears in court on Monday, January 4.
