Former Prime Minister Said Musa commends government on naming two new holidays

By BBN Staff: Former Prime Minister, Said Musa posted to his social media page saying that he is happy that the Government of Belize has declared January 15^th, a national holiday in honor of National Hero and Father of the nation, George Price.

The second national holiday is Freedom day in August to mark the when slaves were declared emancipated in the then British colonies in the Caribbean including Belize.

“An enlightened move by our new PUP administration,” Musa said.
