Two new holidays added for 2021

By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize’s official public and bank holidays for 2021 includes a new holiday on January 15 in honor of the birthday of the Father of the Nation, George Price.

The second new holiday will be Freedom Day on August 2 ( in lieu of August 1).

This day would mark the commemoration of Emancipation day as celebrated in the Caribbean.

Other holidays include those celebrated annually such as Easter, Independence Day, Garifuna Settlement day among others.

Notably, there are no holidays in October.
