By BBN Staff: Former Commissioner of Lands, Wilbert Vallejos resigned on Thursday after serving for 10 years in the position.
Much has been said and revealed about the Lands Department in the time of the previous administration. Vallejos served under UDP ministers, Gaspar Vega, Carla Barnett and Hugo Patt.
On Monday, officers conducted a raid at Vallejos’ home and found $69,800 BZ, $10,000 pesos and $3170 US.
The report has reportedly been passed on to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Though not yet official, word is out that Talbert Brackett is in line to be the new Commissioner of Lands and Surveys.
