Former Minister of Works, Rene Montero may face legal action!

By BBN Staff: BBN has received a copy of a leaked letter from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing.

The letter, addressed to Attorney General Magali Marin Young requests that legal action be taken against former Minister of Works, Rene Montero.

The letter requests legal action for “recovery of the losses of revenue occasioned by the wonton and prolonged abuse of Minister Rene Montero of public resources for his private gain.”

The letter goes on to say “the conduct described in the statements constitutes the tort of misuse of public office and that the Attorney General may institute legal action to recover damages caused by Montero and others for damages for misfeacence in office.”

In a media interview last December, the Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing confirmed that the Ministry had begun an investigation and had collected sworn statements of Montero’s alleged illegal actions and abuse of public resources.
