By Aaron Humes: In his first sideline interview at the National Assembly, in the midst of a full day of debate which continues as of this writing, Prime Minister John Briceno said the fact he now has that title hasn’t quite sunk in yet, even if he hasn’t stopped being on his toes since November 12.
He called it an “awesome responsibility” to be the man Belizeans have called on to shepherd the country for the next five years, at the time of its greatest crisis.
He has been active nonstop since Election Day, COVID-19 notwithstanding, but relishes the chance to put his business and legislative experience to bear.
But he is already missing out on simpler pleasures such as time with his family and celebrating his favorite holiday, Christmas.
