By Aaron Humes: 28-year-old Jose Puc of San Jose Succotz, Cayo District, has reportedly been charged by police for hosting a restricted social gathering in connection with the death of a minor over the New Year holiday, according to Channel 7 News.
The minor, 14, was found dead on New Year’s Day on Puc’s bed.
The minor received a call on New Year’s Eve night which brought him to Puc’s home outside of curfew hours, which start at six p.m. He and Puc were drinking until he became too intoxicated to leave and was put to bed. A post-mortem examination found that he died of acute respiratory distress.
Police are said to be continuing their investigations.
