Police: Gabino Garnett ambushed on his way home

By BBN Staff: Last night, Santa Elena resident Gabino Garnett was gunned down while on his way home from Esperanza Village.

Police say that Garnett has spent the day at his girlfriend’s house and was leaving for home around 7:30 p.m.

He had just arrived at his vehicle when a gunman ambushed him and fired several shots.

Garnett was hit several times to the body and died while undergoing treatment at the San Ignacio Community Hospital.

Authorities recovered 11 expended shells at the scene in an ongoing investigation.

No one has been detained in connection with the incident thus far.
