United Airlines launches direct flight from Denver to Belize

By BBN Staff: In March, United Airlines will begin a seasonal direct flight from Denver, Colorado to Belize, reports the travel site Travel 2 Latam.

The new flight forms a part of the airline’s expansion to serve Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The new flight will be available on Saturdays as of the beginning of March 2021.

“United’s new service between Denver and Belize offers travelers from the West and the Rocky Mountain region more opportunities to plan a warm-weather getaway during winter, “said Patrick Quayle, United Vice President of International Network and Alliances. 

Quayle also noted that United has been offering flights to Belize for over 30 years.

Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations Anthony Malher, said that the new flight will open up Belize as an option to tourists who are seeking warmer climates that have been restricted from travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“…the new flight is anticipated to boost the tourism and hospitality sectors, and underscores the fact that the Belize brand remains strong and offers growth opportunities,” Malher added.

The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) notes that United’s new nonstop flight from Denver adds to several other flights being offered by United Airlines, including weekly flights from  Newark, Houston, and Chicago, which began earlier this month.
