By BBN Staff: A Belize City store owner was robbed and assaulted this morning by two men pretending to be customers.
The owner of 84 New Road Supermarket told police that the men came in and one of them asked to have some pieces of cheese weighed. While attending to them, the other man pulled out a gun and hit her in the head, then demanded money.
The robbers made off with $400 and ran off in the direction of Vernon Street.
Police are investigating.
