U.S. Embassy highlights Fatima Chi as January Entrepreneur!

By BBN Staff: Every month, the United States Embassy in Belize highlights Belizean entrepreneurs.

For January, the embassy is putting the spotlight on Fatima Chi.

Fatima earned a degree in accounting and is a 2018 Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) alumni.

Through YLAI she was able to gain exposure to business operations which helped her as a young entrepreneur managing her own business L3G’s & Associates.

L3G’s & Associates stands for Leonarda’s Three Girls and was founded by Fatima and her sister, Yadira, in 2016.

Fatima says that the name was chosen to honor their mother who is also an entrepreneur and helped inspire Fatima and her sisters to run their own businesses.

L3G’s was created with the goal of assisting businesses in strengthening their finances and overall operation. Fatima focuses on marketing, client outreach and networking.

The firm also endeavors to give back to their community in a variety of ways including organizing small seminars for businesses and offering internship opportunities to high school and university students.

It is important to Fatima to give back to her community in western Belize due to the fact that when she was pursuing accounting it was not common in the area and she had to move to pursue her interests.

Now there are more opportunities and Fatima would like to be another by providing young people an introduction into accounting as well as the motivation to become entrepreneurs themselves.

Fatima is looking forward to continue expanding L3G and the firms’ staff in order to address the need in the community for better financial handling.

 In order to continue assisting individuals in business related matters, she also began the company Fatima R Chi Group of Consultants and Services to aid individuals in creating businesses of their own.
