By BBN Staff: Police Commissioner Chester Williams clarified today that information circulating about an amendment to the current curfew time is false and that the established time remains unchanged.

The information making rounds on social media and via messages purports that the curfew hours were rolled back by two hours, going from 8:00 p.m. -5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.

“Kindly note that this is not true. The curfew is still in effect and the time remains 8 pm – 5 am. As soon as there is any change in this, I will inform you accordingly,” Williams said via his Facebook account.

He also called on the public to continue adhering to the protocols in place for the spread of the virus such as social distancing, frequent hand washing, and avoiding attending social events.
