Ministry of Health and Wellness reports lowest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases for 2021 thus far

By BBN Staff: After a brief period of relief from COVID-19 deaths, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) says that there is one new death to report.
The Ministry’s daily COVID-19 update said that the new death brings the national total of deaths up to 282, and the fatality rate to 2.43.
The latest death was a male, bringing the total number of males that have died from the virus to 188, while female COVID-19 deaths stand at 94.
The latest death also represents the 34th person in Belize to die from COVID-19 since the beginning of 2021.
