Weather: Cloudy skies, showery weather entering midweek

The National Meteorological Service says the weather outlook remains moist, supporting cloudy skies along with a few showers and periods of rain over most areas today, decreasing tonight.

Winds are from the east to northeast at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; sea state is moderate to rough. Operators of small crafts are advised to exercise caution for occasional gusty winds and rough seas.

Most of the country will see high temperatures of 80 degrees Fahrenheit; it will be cooler in the hills at 72 degrees. Tonight, temperatures dip to 75 degrees along the coast; 70 over the interior and 64 in the hills.

Tides will be low at 8:43 a.m. this morning and at 9:23 p.m. tonight, and high at 2:33 p.m. this afternoon. Sunrise was at 6:26 a.m. this morning and sunset will be at 5:40 p.m. this evening.

The extended outlook for Wednesday and Wednesday night is for a few showers or periods of light rain mostly over central and southern parts of the country.
