By BBN Staff: The Belize Port Authority (BPA) announced today that it will be closing its office at noon today to honor the passing of Belize’s first Governor-General, Dr. Dame Minita Gordon.
The BPA apologized for the inconvenience the closure might cause but reminded its customers that they can still access a wide range of services digitally by going to www.portauthority.bz, sending an email to [email protected], or by calling National Maritime Communication Center at 222-5666 or our Emergency Number 966.
“The Management and Staff extends its sincerest condolences to the Nation of Belize and the family of Dr. Dame Minita Gordon,” the BPA said.
Dr. Gordon is being laid to rest today, marking the final day in a designated three-day period of national mourning, designated by Prime Minister John Briceno.
