Police find over 7 pounds of weed on board a water taxi

By BBN Staff: Belize City police found over 7 pounds of marijuana on board a water taxi this week, during anti-drug operations.

Officers searched the water taxi on Tuesday and found a black plastic bag weighing 3,212 grams (7.08 pounds).

Nobody took responsibility for the drugs, so they were labeled as found property.

During a similar search on Gentle Avenue in Belize City, officers found a plastic bag containing 368 grams (just under 13 ounces) of weed.

It was also labeled found property, as no one was in the area at the time of discovery.
