By BBN Staff: On Thursday, Mexico experienced new 1-day highs for COVID-19 cases and deaths.
Authorities said that there were 22,339 newly confirmed coronavirus infections and 1,803 deaths from COVID-19 recorded for the previous 24 hours.
Hospitals in Mexico are at 89% capacity, while nationwide 61% of hospital beds are filled.
Many families have tried to treat their relatives at home due to shortages of oxygen and tanks at hospitals.
Mexicans are also trying to take home remedies to assist their relatives.
Mexican authorities have said that it will pass regulations to give priority to medicinal oxygen production over industrial uses to free up supplies.
