Ministry of Health and Wellness confirms 24 new cases of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) has reported 24 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry’s latest update says that the new cases were confirmed from a sample batch of 291 tests.

The new cases had an even split of 12 females and 12 males.

Belize’s national total for confirmed cases now stands at 11,700 and the positivity rate has dropped to 20.0. Of the national total for confirmed cases, 401 are still active.

The MOHW also has 305 suspected cases of COVID-19 under investigation.
