By Aaron Humes: Javier Choc, accused in the killing of his stepson Walter Axcel Gonzalez, 19, last Sunday in the San Martin area of Belmopan, remains at large according to police.

Choc and Gonzalez were both reportedly under the alcoholic influence when they got into an argument and then a fight that resulted in Choc taking a six-inch knife and stabbing Gonzalez, who died on the following Monday afternoon.

Nine days later, leads to police have yet to turn up Choc, but Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett says they have nothing suggesting he fled the country.

ACP Myvett says Police have been tracking Choc around the country and believe he is not being assisted by family and relatives.

Family members say the pair never got along, as Gonzalez objected to his mother, Choc’s partner, regularly harassing and abusing her under the influence of drink.

Police investigations continue.
