U.S. Charge d’ Affaires visits Minister of National Defense and Border Security

By BBN Staff: U.S. Charge d’Affaires, a.i. Keith Gilges has made a courtesy visit to the new Prime Minister, John Briceno, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eamon Courtenay.

This week, Gilges also visited the Minister of National Defense and Border Security, Florencio Marin.

They discussed the priorities for both the U.S. Embassy and the new Ministry for working together to counter the transnational threat of criminal organizations in Belize and to provide secure and safe border enforcement while protecting human rights.
