“The appointment of attorney Gregory Ch’oc as Commissioner validates the intention of the Government to genuinely look after the welfare of its citizenry,” the council said.
The Council further stated that it sees the appointment of the new Commissioner as a positive move in the right direction in addressing the existential needs of the Indigenous Maya of Southern Belize.
‘The Board of Directors congratulate and welcome attorney-at-law, Mr. Ch’oc on his appointment as Commissioner. His wealth of knowledge and experiences will certainly contribute to meaningful engagements with the relevant stakeholders,” the council added.
