Belize Met Service: Showers return entering weekend

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service (Belize Met Service) says relatively moist and unstable conditions prevail, supporting cloudy skies with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms around the country.

Winds are from the East to Northeast at five to 15 knots and the sea state is choppy.

High temperatures today: 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 87 in the interior and 78 in the hills. Tonight, temperatures will fall to 74 degrees in coastal areas; 68 degrees inland, and 61 degrees in the hills.

Tides will be high at 10:32 a.m. this morning and 9:47 p.m. this evening and low at 3:32 p.m. this afternoon.

The sun rose this morning at 6:25 a.m. and will set at a quarter to six this evening.

The extended outlook for Friday and Friday night is for a few showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms to continue affecting the country.
