By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology today announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors for the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH).
The newly appointed Board Members are:
1. Arreini Palacio-Morgan
2. Carlo Habet
3. Michael Coye
4. Gavin Courtenay
5. Merilyn Young
6. Albert Vaughan
NICH noted that the new members bring years of collective experience and training in the areas of arts, music, film production, accounting, financial management, project development, and public service.
Their term of office will be for a period of two (2) years.
“We are confident that this team of Directors will be able to effectively lead NICH
thru this difficult and challenging financial period and carry out the mandate given
to them by the Minister of Culture Francis Fonseca to “reform and restructure
NICH to ensure that Belize’s rich and diverse culture and history are restored to their rightful place as a national priority,” a statement said.
