By Aaron Humes: As part of its 54th annual general meeting held over the weekend, the National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB) held executive elections.
Luke Martinez succeeds Marvin Mora as president, joined by second vice president Miguel Aguilar; director of education Trisha Perez; assistant general secretary Ella Waight; trustee Leonora Flowers; and assistant treasurer Philippa McDonald.
Incumbent members elected at the last Congress are first vice president Clifford Martinez; general secretary Patrick Balan; treasurer Jorge Mejia; auditor Dean Flowers; councilor Philip Tate; trustee Daniel Luna and director for gender affairs Addy Aguilar.
The AGM was held under the theme βNTUCB: Overcoming the Challenges, Living our Purpose, Realizing Meaningful Reforms.β
