By BBN Staff: Thieves made off with $19,000 yesterday after a daring daylight robbery at CORE Call Center located between Miles 8 and 9 on the Philip Goldson Highway.

Security Guard Akeem Lino told police that around 3:20 p.m., he was doing payments to workers when two men came into the building, one of them armed with a gun.

One assailant took him to a room at the back of the building and bound his hands and feet with plastic straps then escaped, headed in the direction of Ladyville Village with a box containing the cash.

Police are investigating.
