By BBN Staff: The International Organization for Migration (IOM), with the support of the United States Government, will be signing awards with 3 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) for the establishment of Migrant Hubs in Bella Vista, San Ignacio, and Belmopan.
The 3 organizations are Humana People to People Belize, Belize Red Cross, and Child Development Foundation.
IOM says that the Hubs will be a source of information for migrants on the benefits of regular migration, policy changes in respect to legislation, health, and education matters which affect the migrant community.
The hubs will also provide a wide range of services, including assistance to access online services, for migrants who have difficulty completing various immigration and other application forms due to language barriers and access to complete, accurate information on the processes.
The signing is taking place at this time at the Price Centre for Peace and Development.
